I love Easter. It reminds me that spring is finally here. It is fitting that it takes place in spring – a time of renewal. Grass is sprouting up, flowers are beginning to bloom, the birds are active in the newly leaved trees….It just makes me happy.
Of course I also love Easter because it gives me an opportunity to consume deviled eggs, jelly beans and Cadbury chocolate bunnies without guilt! There is also the egg dying, basket filling and the egg hunt – which my husband still insists upon even though the boy is 19. He just loves to find new and creative places to hide them!
Whether you celebrate Easter, Passover or just springtime in general, it is a great time to put aside our daily stresses and focus on the family. Spend the weekend celebrating traditions and just having fun. These are the memories that our children will hold dear when they are older – and they will continue them with their own kids!
