TurkeyHappy Thanksgiving everyone! Although we did get a little snow last week here in Big Bear Lake, it looks to be a pleasant holiday weekend ahead. The roads are clear, Bear Mountain is open and Big Bear Snow Play is open as well.  There are several special events happening too, so be sure to take a peek at the events flyer below.

Cabins are filling up fast for the coming Christmas and New Years holidays, though we do still have a few left. Big Bear Mountain officially opens for the 2013/2014 season, tomorrow, November 27,2013. (Snow Summit will be opening very soon!)

Here is the official announcement from the Bear Mountain Blog:

Bear Mountain Opens Wednesday

IT’S OFFICIAL! We’re opening for the 2013-14 winter season this Wednesday November 27th at 8:30 am!

We will have Chair 9 open top to bottom with terrain features. This will include trails: Upper Park Run, Expressway, The Gulch, and Lower Park Run. Please note that the runs off Chair 9 are intermediate to advanced. There will be NO beginner trails available on opening day as Chair 9 will be the only chair open. Plan on arriving early as ticket sales may be limited due to limited terrain.

We will be having drink specials at the Beach Bar, DJ SlipMatt spinning, giveaways from Neff, a message in a bottle contest and more!

Hours for Wednesday: will be 8:30am-4:00pm. Ticket windows open at 8:00am.

Early season pricing will be in effect.

Adult: All-Day  $40.00, Half-Day $35.00, Getaway $12.00

Young Adult: All-Day $35.00, Half-Day $30.00, Getaway $10.00

Child: All-Day $16.00, Half-Day $12.00, Getaway $5.00
