The Redlands Bicycle Classic Time Trials on North Shore

The Redlands Bicycle Classic is shaking things up for its 30th edition, which will run April 3-6 with four stages over four days, including a new opening time trial course at elevation. The longer, flatter time trial at Big Bear Lake about 64 km northeast of downtown Redlands will replace the 4.9 km uphill Highland Avenue prologue course that has marked the start of USA Cycling’s National Race Calendar for the past several years.For more details please visit website.

MS Walk: Big Bear

The 2014 Big Bear MS Walk takes place on Saturday May 3rd on the North Shore’s Alpine Pedal Path. The start/finish line will be at North Shore Elementary School.
Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. with Opening Ceremonies at 10:00 a.m. for a 10:30 a.m Official Start.
The 1k and 5k routes are 100% accessible and offer snacks and water at stationary rest stops.
Individuals and teams can walk, roll or stroll along the shores of Big Bear Lake, then be rewarded at the finish festival with food, music, face painting, team booths, and sponsor giveaways.

May Trout Classic – Jim Hall Memorial

Big Bear StarLight Festival in the Village

The StarLight Festival is an educational and entertaining event held over Memorial Weekend; geared towards children, young adults, and families. To be held annually, this unique celebration of science and astronomy among an atmosphere of music and art has a mission to proliferate an awareness of and a better understanding of science and astronomy through interactive outreach and hands on experiences.The StarLight Festival debuting in Big Bear Village, CA May 24th and 25th, 2014 is being hosted by the AstronomyOutreach network a 501(c)3 non-profit educational organization.
Major manufacturers will be exhibiting the latest in astronomy and science related gear. The Big Bear Solar Observatory Team will be joining us with an interpretive center at the festival, and exclusive tours of the observatory. Meet scientists from JPL/NASA, Astronauts, and renowned organizations and individuals in educational public outreach who will be there for lectures and demonstrations.

Big Bear Lake Half Marathon and Memorial 5K Fun Run

Welcome to the Big Bear Lake Half Marathon. This is road running at its finest. A scenic and challenging course full of steep up and downs, rolling hills and a two mile climb up to 7,300′ for a gorgeous run through Big Bear Lake’s most scenic neighborhoods.
Race day also includes the Memorial 5k Fun Run, a scenic and challenging course along the border of the National Forest. Both events share the same Start and Finish in The Village of Big Bear Lake.
This is an Open Air Big Bear event so you can expect a FUN start and finish in The Village of Big Bear Lake with Live Music and Local Vendors at the Lifestyle Expo.
The Big Bear Lake Half Marathon and Memorial 5k Fun Run is an official proud supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project! A portion of each race entry fee will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project. Last year we raised $1000 for the Wounded Warrior Project at the 1st Memorial 5k Fun Run. With the addition of the Half Marathon we hope to raise a lot more this year!

Team Big Bear Mountain Bike Shoot Out #6 Kenda Cup Series
