snow tubing 1Beautiful, sunny skies are expected this weekend in Big Bear Lake with temps in the 50’s. Perfect weather to hit the slopes, go snow tubing with the kids, or stroll through the Village to do some holiday shopping. If you are planning on heading up for Thanksgiving week and are hoping to see some snow, chances are looking good for a storm starting Wednesday.

Tuesday’s Topic: Bear Mountain and Snow Summit are Opening for the 2015/2016 Season!

Snow Summit boarderSnow Summit and Bear Mountain Resorts in Big Bear Lake have announced their opening day – this Friday, November 13, 2015!! They will have limited chairs and runs, but also special discounted tickets. Here is the info direct from their websites:

Snow Summit: Join us Friday for Opening Day of the 2015/16 Winter Season. We will be offering lift tickets on Friday for $35 to celebrate. Ticket windows and rental shops open at 8:30am. Lifts open at 9:00am with top to bottom skiing and riding and all skier/rider services available. Ski and Snowboard lessons will be available on Southern California’s largest learning terrain and Upper Summit Canyon will be loaded with jibs and park features. We’ll see you on the snow…

Lifts open at 9:00am with top to bottom skiing and riding. Park Run connecting through the Gulch will be loaded with jibs and park features.
