Hear some great, live music: Rock out at The Cave in the Village. Listen to the hits of Tom Petty with “The Pettybreakers”, and bang your head with Metalachi! The first concert in the Music in the Mountains summer series at the Big Bear Discovery Center takes you back to boogie with “Bee Gees Gold” – Tribute to the Bee Gees with special guest Abba Fab, The Premier Abba Experience.
Take in some Art: Check out some local artists at Art on the Corner in the Village. Want to do some creating of your own? Paint a masterpiece of your own at the Paint and Sip Fireworks Edition at Barrel 33 in the Village!
Airplane Fun at the 2019 Air Fair: The whole family will enjoy vintage planes, classic cars, and skydiving exhibitions. Also adding to the fun will be community group exhibits, current aircraft displays, and a wide array of souvenir and food vendors. There will be attractions that are just for kids. Best of all, IT’S FREE!
Check out some great Crafts: Visit the Annual Big Bear Lake Independence Day Festival and Craft Show. Food, music, and activities as well. At the Convention Center.
Get out on Big Bear Lake: Rent a boat, kayak, canoe, wave runner, paddleboard or peddleboat from a local marina. Take a cruise on a pirate ship or an authentic paddleboat. See the lake from above while parasailing.
Get into the National Forest: Take a hike, a 4×4 Jeep tour, a horseback ride, ride a zipline, or ride the sky chair and mountain bike down.
Wander through the Village: Browse quaint shops, sample some amazing fudge (YUM!), watch a live cooking demonstration or have an outstanding meal in one of the many restaurants.
Have some family fun: Play 9 holes of GLOW GOLF, Zoom down the Alpine Slide, splash down the Waterslide, take a unique segway tour, go ice skating, play Laser-Tag, go bowling, visit the Zoo or Museum, or rent some bikes and ride the Alpine Pedal Path.

The Big Bear Summer Artwalk takes place July 2-4 in the heart of the Big Bear Village.
The Annual Rotary Club Big Bear Lake Fourth of July Lakefront Fireworks and Barbecue at the Marina Resort on Big Bear Blvd. Reserved Seating and Meals with Live Entertainment and Kids Games before the Fireworks Start. Fireworks begin between 8:45-9:15pm.

The Holcomb Valley Rendezvous is an authentic hunting and gaming camp created by a troop of historical re-enactors called the Big Horn Mountain Men. A living History Encampment of the Fur Trade Era of the American West, spanning the time period of the French and Indian War (1700) to 1840. Fun for the whole family – Step back in time and visit a high mountain encampment of Mountain Men and their families. Meet colorful characters in costumes of the time period. See history come alive with demonstrations of primitive skills: flint and steel fire starting, Dutch oven cooking, basket making, leather work, scrimshaw, tomahawk and knife throwing, target shooting with muzzle loading rifles, pistols and trade guns. Mountain Men live in tipis and a wide assortment of period canvas tentage; trade goods and primitive clothing available for sale at several traders.

Join acclaimed performer Jim Curry for this tribute to the music of one of the most beloved singer/songwriters ever to grace the stage. Trail running in the San Bernardino Mountains at it’s finest will be on display for the Kodiak 100 and the Kodiak 50. Southern California mountains tend to surprise people, especially in September-its phenomenal conditions. It’s typically sunny, the temperature is almost always comfortable, considering this course is ALL between 5,100′ and 10,000′ .
The Second Annual Big Bear North Shore Half Marathon 5k and 10K
Since 2004, the Big Bear Lake October Troutfest has proven to be a popular outing for all members of your family. Come on up to the crisp clean air of Big Bear and enjoy a weekend among your fellow anglers as you fish for fun and thousands of dollars in cash and prizes!
The Big Bear Alpine Zoo will be hosting its Flashlight Safaris each Saturday for the month of October (3, 10, 17 & 24) with the exception of Halloween and the first Saturday in November (7)

The 26th Annual Antique Car Club’s Fun Run takes place Friday August 7th through Sunday August 9th. The Fun Run features a car show with 500+ cars – roadsters, classics, antiques and hot rods, lining the streets of Big Bear Village. Friday is registration day from 9-5 pm for participants at the Bartlett Parking Lot, Saturday is the day to view the cars on display from 9-4 pm and the Fun Run drive around the Lake takes place at 4pm at the end of day on Saturday, and the awards ceremonies are on Sunday starting at 9:00 am.
The 14th annual Big Bear Valley Renaissance Faire takes place August 1-2, 8-9, 15-16 at Pederson’s Mill in Fawnskin. Our Faire is a continual day of mirth and merriment, excitement and education. The village streets lead you past crafts, costumes, food, stages, and games. The Enchanted Shire has six stages of ongoing shows performing every half-hour. There is also an arena for the jousts and the Great Square for pirate battles, maypole dances, and other fun!

The Big Bear Yoga Festival will take place at Camp Oakes on August 21, 22 and 23. Festival was created to bring you incredible yoga teachers, dance, vibrant music, inspirational topics, yummy food and fun activities like a climbing wall and pool – all with the beautiful backdrop of the San Bernardino Mountains. The Arts Council of Big Bear Valley presents its 16th Annual Fine Arts Festival: “Art on the Lake” which kicks off Friday evening with an opening night reception set to take place from 7 pm to 9 pm. Saturday and Sunday hours will be 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and admission is FREE.
The Antique Wooden Boat Show at Pine Knot Landing takes place on Saturday August 22nd with a jaw dropping display of antique and classic wooden boats. FREE to All.

Welcome to the the Memorial 5k Fun Run, a scenic and challenging course along the border of the National Forest.
Starting at the water’s edge of Big Bear Lake, the Holcomb Valley Trail Run brings runners deep into the heart of the most scenic area in Big Bear, Holcomb Valley. Breathtaking views of the San Gorgonio Wilderness Area, Big Bear Lake, and the surrounding valley can be seen from the miles of single track running along the Pacific Crest Trail. The Holcomb Valley Trail Run offers three separate distances: a 33-mile race, a 15-mile race, and a 7-mile race. Sections of the Pacific Crest Trail are part of each race course. This is some of the best trail running in Southern California; so sign up early, the race has sold out the past 5 years.
The Big Bear parade is the longest running community event in the Valley and has brought residents and visitors together to celebrate the heritage of the Big Bear Valley and honor members of our community and the Nation’s military. Once again this year, Old Miners and the Village Business Association bring this traditional event to the Village, the Heart of Big Bear.
The Big Bear Triathlon is back for our Third Year!! Join us in the scenic San Bernardino National Forest and challenge your triathlon skills at 7,000′. We will be hosting two distances for this event, Sprint and Olympic. While the rest of Southern California is heating up we are just getting perfect with an average June temperature of 76 degrees. The Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest runs for seven consecutive weekends, September 13 through October 25 at the Big Bear Lake Convention Center, located at 42900 Big Bear Boulevard in Big Bear Lake. The times are Saturdays 12 noon to 12 midnight and Sundays 12 noon to 5:30 p.m. Special Locals Night on Friday October 3rd and new this year Oktoberfest Unplugged on Friday October 10th and 17th.
