“Visions” Rush Tribute at the Cave

Aug 31, 2018 | 06:30PM – 11:30PM

We have a VISION to bring the world renowned RUSH concert to the masses. Since the announcement that Rush has officially retired from the touring scene, their diehard fans the world over, are in need of their fix of live Rush music. While many tributes find it necessary to get the “look” of the band just right with wigs and other attire, Visions believes that the music is #1. The common Rush Head is very skeptical of anyone attempting to reproduce Rush music with any proficiency, not to mention very quick to point out ANY mistakes. With this in mind, and being die hard Rush fans ourselves, the choice to make sure every nuance of a song, from samples to vocal harmonies to analog keyboards, is the priority.

A Visions show is a state of the art experience that should be seen by Rush fans worldwide. It is our dream, and our mission, to do just that.

The Kodiak 100 Ultramarathon

Sep 16, 2016 12:00PM – Sep 18, 2016 12:00AM

Trail running in the San Bernardino Mountains at it’s finest will be on display for the Kodiak 100 miler, the  Kodiak 50 miler and Kodiak 50K. Southern California mountains tend to surprise people, especially in September-its phenomenal conditions. It’s typically sunny, the temperature is almost always comfortable, considering this course is ALL between 5,100′ and 10,000′ .

The nights can be that nice cool Alpine chill, but no where near freezing. (if you’re  a shirtless runner, you may want to reconsider at least for this night section. Day times- late September, should be stellar- with temps in the 60′s and 70′s.

It’s pretty reliable and trusty weather in Late September, high likely hood of great race conditions.

100 Mile Race Start – Friday 12 Noon

Front 50K Race Start – Friday 12:01 PM

50 Mile Race Start – Saturday 6AM

Back 50K Race Start – Saturday 8AM

BIG Change for 2016 – Reversing Course! In an effort to keep things interesting we will be reversing course and running clockwise around the lake! Did that just put the summit of Sugarloaf at mile 75? Why yes, yes it did. Some will ask, why would you do that? It takes out the Siberia Creek climb which is the highlight of the course. And they would have a point. However, the reverse direction presents it’s own set of unique characteristics and challenges. The run from Grandview to the bottom of Siberia Creek is absolutely gorgeous, the climbs in this direction are STEEP,  Sugarloaf Mountain and the technical terrain leading to and from it will be a MAJOR factor late in the run. Regardless of direction this course is tough and beautiful!

Finish Festival and Awards at the Village & Pine Knot in The Village of Big Bear Lake.
