Cold temperatures the past few days have allowed snowmaking crews to work around the clock and continue to add more snow around the hill. Bear Mountain and Snow Summit with open with access to 3 chairs at each resort. We’ll also have multiple runs from top to bottom including the beginner area ready for riding. Check back daily starting Friday, Dec. 8 for Lift and Trail status.
Chairlift Hours of Operation for Opening Weekend at Both Resorts

Starting Friday, Dec. 8, Bear Mountain and Snow Summit will be open daily. For the most updated hours of operation, click here. Ticket windows open 30 minutes prior to chairlifts hours of operation. Hours of operation are subject to change based on weather.

Resort Offerings
❄ Lessons – offered at both resorts Friday, Dec. 8 – Sunday, Dec. 10. Starting Monday, Dec. 11, all lessons types will be available at Snow Summit, and only private lessons will be offered Monday – Thursday at Bear Mountain. For more details, visit the lessons page.
❄ Rentals – shops will be open 30 minutes prior to the chairlifts operating. For official hours, click here. Please note that the new rental shop at Snow Summit has been moved upstairs, over the ticket windows.
❄ Retail – Big Bear Sports shop will be open 30 minutes prior to the chairlifts operating. For official hours, click here.
❄ Food & Beverages – dining favorites such as Laybacks, Silver Mountain Eatery, and BBQ in the Park will be open. Check out the dining page for full details.
❄ Inter-Mountain Shuttle – day lift tickets are valid at both Bear Mountain and Snow Summit. Leave your car in the parking lot and take the free 10-Minute shuttle ride between Bear Mountain and Snow Summit.
Night Session for Saturday, Dec. 9 has been canceled. The next available Night Session date is Friday, December 15. For more information on Night Sessions, click here
USASA Rail Jam for Sunday, Dec. 10 has been canceled. The USASA Rail Jam competition will be rescheduled. New date TBD.
The Grizzly Tube Park will not be open. Please check back mid-December for availability.
On an average peak/holiday weekend, we expect to park several thousand cars so delays may be expected. We recommend giving yourself at least an hour from any point in Big Bear Valley to drive, park, and be shuttled to the Resort of your choice. For more information and tips on parking, click here.

Snow Summit and Bear Mountain Resorts in Big Bear Lake have announced their opening day – this Friday, November 13, 2015!! They will have limited chairs and runs, but also special discounted tickets. Here is the info direct from their websites:
Snow Summit: Join us Friday for Opening Day of the 2015/16 Winter Season. We will be offering lift tickets on Friday for $35 to celebrate. Ticket windows and rental shops open at 8:30am. Lifts open at 9:00am with top to bottom skiing and riding and all skier/rider services available. Ski and Snowboard lessons will be available on Southern California’s largest learning terrain and Upper Summit Canyon will be loaded with jibs and park features. We’ll see you on the snow…
